SO.
Today we drove an hour and a half to a village in Burgos which would be the finish of a time trial stage in the Vuelta a Burgos (Tour of Burgos).
It was about a million degrees and we had lunch and blah blah and managed to get ourselves right at the barrier at the finish line just opposite the podium.
It was pretty awesome seeing them all whizz past, including SAMUEL SANCHEZ (winner of the gold medal in the 2008 Beijing olympics and coming 6th overall in the Tour de France this year and winning a stage) who then came at the end to have a little wave and so on. Was definitely very cool indeed.
Overall, team Movistar won, cycling 12km (I think) in 9 minutes and 54 seconds. Distance over time and they were cycling pretty fast.
In the picture is the Movistar team with the standard fit woman who looked like a tranny, and people pouring onto the track to take pictures and stuff. I was still behind my barrier like a good girl.
